إيهاب عبد السلام كاتب وشاعر، من مواليد محافظة البحيرة عام 1968، تخرج في دار العلوم عام 1990 وحصل على درجة الماجستير في الأدب، وعمل في مجال النشر منذ تخرجه وأشرف على إنتاج عشرات السلاسل من الكتب الموجهة للصغار والكبار.
نشرت له بعض المقالات والقصائد في الصحف والمجلات.
وكتب العديد من الأناشيد للأطفال باللغة العربية الفصحى والتي تُذاع على الفضائيات المختلفة ، وقد تميز في هذا المجال وصدرت له عشرات الأشرطة من أناشيد الأطفال المنتشرة في الوطن العربي، مثل (الحبيب) وأناشيد فيلم الكرتون (البطل نور) وغيرها كثير..
وله كتاب (شعرالأطفال – التاريخ والفن) وديوان (الهروب إلى الحب).
يتصف بالهدوء وخفة الظل، ويعتز بوطنه ويحلم بالوحدة العربية الشاملة..
يقول في مقدمة ديوانه (الهروب إلى الحب): "قَدْ لا يَجِدُ الحبُّ له موضعًا في قلبِ المواطِنِ العَرَبِي في هَذَا الزَّمَان، خَاصَّةً ذلكَ المواطِنُ الَّذي يُعْنَى بِقَضَايَا وطنِه، ويتَألَّم لواقِعِهِ، ويَنْكسِرُ لانكِسَارِهِ، وَيَحْمِلُ إرثَه من هُمومِهِ الثَّقِيلَةِ.
وَلَكِنْ رَغْمَ كُلِّ ذَلِكَ..
يَبْقَى الحبُّ إحسَاسًا سَرْمَدِيًّا لَهُ عُنْفُوَانُه وسُلطانُه علَى القُلوب، قَدْ يَلْجَأ الإنسَانُ إلَيْهِ كَمَا يَلجَأ إلَى ظِلِّ شَجَرةٍ فِي هَجِيرِ الصَّحْرَاء المُحْرقَةِ".
