اشتهر بالكتابة الساخرة وأدب الرحلات.
عُدت مقالاته بجريدة المصري اليوم نقطة تحول في زيادة عدد محبى هذا النوع من الكتابة التي تمزج النقد السياسي بأدب الرحلات بالسخرية والتي نشر بها روايته (همّام وإيزابيلا) مسلسة.
وتجدر الإشارة إلي أن كتابه الأول "مصر ليست أمي..دي مرات أبويا" قد لقي حفاوة كبيرة من القراء حتي أنه طبع ثمانية عشر مرة حتي الآن وتناقلت تنزيله مئات المواقع علي النت باعتباره من أهم الكتب العربية في السنوات الأخيرة.
كتب في عدد من الجرائد منها: جريدة الوطن الكويتية وجريدة الدستور المصرية و التحرير المصرية و المصري اليوم.عمل مديراً لمصر للطيران في الكويت وكندا.

سألها فى صفاقة: وهذه السلة تمتلئ طبعاً باللحوم والاسماك والطيور.. أليس كذلك؟
قالت:ليتها كانت كذلك.. والله ما بها سوى العيش.
قال فى استنكار: عيش؟.. يعنى لا يوجد معك سوى هذا العمود؟.
قالت نعم.
مد يده وأمسك بالعمود فاستسلمت وتركته له. فتح الطابق العلوى وأخرج الأرز ونزل على الطابق التالى وأخرج الملوخية وعرج على الأسفل وخلط الدمعة مع الملوخية، وصار يأخذ حفنة أرز فى يده ويقذف بها فى فمه ثم يشرب ملوخية ودمعة. بعد ان أكل وشبع اخذها من يدها ودخل بها على البوابة وهمس لأحد الواقفين فسمحوا لها بالدخول.
