أنتونيا فيرينباخ: درست علم الأحياء في مدينة ستراسبورج أولًا، ثم في مدينة فرايبورج، وبعدها في كامبريدج. وحصلت على درجة الدكتوراه من المركز الألماني للرئيسيات بمدينة جوتينجن، وعملت بعدها لمدة خمس سنوات في أبحاث الطب الحيوي في كلية هانوفر للطب، ومركز جوتينجن للتشريح. انتهزت فيرينباخ فرصة انتقالها إلى ماربورج عام ٢٠٠٢م لكي تَشرَع أخيرًا في الكتابة الأدبية.
