سنوات طويلة وكلماتي تتصارع مع انشغالي, كلاهما يحاول أن يسيطر على عقلي ويستعبده لخدمته طوال الوقت. أنهيت دراستي، استقر عملي فهدأ السعي والانشغال وانتصرت الكلمات وعدت أكتب مرة أخرى بعد سنوات من التوقف. والواقع أن طقوسي في الكتابة اختلفت تماما عن طفولتي وباكر صباي. في الماضي كنت أدخل إلى غرفتي, أغمض عينيّ, استمع إلي موسيقى هادئة لأحلق بقلبي وعقلي في عالم الخيال. تغيرت كما تغير كل شيء من حولي. فعندما أشرع في الكتابة أمشي في الشوارع, أفتح عيني جيدا لأري البشر جيدا. اسمع كلامهم وضحكهم وبكاؤهم, لأستقي حكاياتي من هموم واقع أراه أصبح يفوق الخيال. وها أنا أسوقها إليك لترى شخوصا وأحداثا عاشت في رأسي أياما طويلة إلى ان تخلصت منها في اوراقي. وما أكتبه هو من أجل القراءة, لا من أجل الكتابة. لست جشعا, قاريء واحد يرضى عن إنتاجي ويحرر كلماتي من أسر الأدراج يكفيني. أثناء كتابتي.... يتراءى أمام ناظري أبي الذي شارف على الثمانين, وولدي الذي لم يتجاوز عامه الثاني, وأجيال أنا منها تتهم بالجهل والضحالة. فأحاول أن أخاطب الجميع وفي قلبي صورة وطن أحبه وأحلم له بازدهار يستحقه, فأنا اراه مظلوما بمن يعيشون فيه... وممن يعيشون فيه.
