من الأعمال العبادية التي أمر الله سبحانه وتعالى بإتيانها لعباده المؤمنين به والمطيعين لدينه المتين هو الطواف حول بيته المكرّم... والطواف كسائر الأعمال العبادية يزيد في الحُب من الجانبين، من جانب العباد بالطاعة والتسليم، ومن جانب المعبود المُحب والمحبوب، مَنَّ عليهم بالتوفيق للطاعة في الدنيا ووعده لهم بالرضوان في الآخرة، والطواف يضمن كلتا الجهتين، بمقتضى روح الحُب، والطواف يدل على علاقة العبد بمولاه ويحكي عن ذُلّه أمامه، وإذا كان بأمر من المولى وبنيّة صادقة فيوصف بأداء المطلوب من المحبوب ولذلك أجرٌ عظيم.
