حاملاً سلته، كان الصبي يتعثر على بساط الرمال المتراكمة.. بين لحظة وأخرى يدنو من أحد المصطافين، فيعرض عليه بضاعته. من بعيد، لمح الصبي امرأة تتراقص أشعة الشمس على جلدها المدهون.. حين دنا منها رفع صوته، علها تشتري منه شيئا.. ببطء رفعت المرأة رأسها، لمحت الصبي متباطئاً يدب نحوها.. انسلت يدها نحو حقيبتها الجلدية.. بحذر سحبتها نحوها.. ثم عادت إلى غفوتها.
