وهذا الكتاب يتضمن دراسة تحليلية للطبيعة القانونية للعقود البترولية، وأسباب الاحتكار الدولي للبترول، وخصائص العقود البترولية التقليدية والحديثة، ومدى مراعاتها لحق الشعوب في الموارد النفطية، ومفهوم تأميم البترولن ودور منظمة "الأوبك" في حماية حق الدول المصدرة للنفط في التمتع بثرواتها النفطية، بالإضافة إلى البحث في شأن الوكالة الدولية للطاقة، وأثر النفط في التنمية والآفاق المستقبلية لمصادر الطاقة.
