Book Description
إن القارئ لهذا الديوان لا بدَ له، من أن يعرف صاحبه، المفكر والمناضل والمصلح والشاعر؛ إنه الأمير شكيب أرسلان. بدأ حياته الأدبية بنظم الشعر فاشتهر به ولم يعدَ السابعة عشرة من عمره. وقد طبع في ذلك الوقت ديواناً جمع به أوائل شعره، وسماه "الباكورة" فتوسم مطالعوه أن ناظمه يرقى حثيثاً إلى مقام لا يرام بين شعراء العربية.
وأما الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا فيقول عنه الأمير: "هذا ديوان شعري من أيام الصغر إلى أيام الكبر، تتجلى فيه روحي حدثاً وشاباً وكهلاً وشيخاً... وإن بعض هذه القصائد متعلق بوقائع تاريخية مشهورة، وبعضها متضمن لمبادئ سياسية مأثورة. فنشرها حصة من التاريخ... ولم يزل الشعر، وهو الخيال المجسم، أحسن قيَد للحقائق... وكم من رجل لم تخلده التواريخ، وجعله الشعر من الخالدين...".
تأتي أهمية الإطلاع على ديوان الأمير شكيب أرسلان من كونه كان ولا يزال يشكل حلقة مهمة من حلقات الإحياء الشعري، وأن قصائده تعكس بمضمونها تجربة على جانب من الخصوصية والتميز، بما تطرحه من همومٍ ورؤى، ومن صفاءٍ لغوي وتماسك في الأسلوب والبناء.
ومن هذه اللؤلؤات المنظومة التي جاء بها إحساس الأمير نقرأ قصيدة بعنوان [في حسناء أرمينيا] يقول فيها: "أقسمت إذ طلعت عليَ شموسها، وزهت بها الأرجاء وهي عروسها/ أعلى محل في الجمال محلَها، وبها فأجمل بلدة (طرطوسها)/ لم أحسد العشاق إلا واحداً، أخطاه ربَ العرش فهو جليسها...".
