الديري يدرك المحنةَ التي يعيشها المسلمُ اليوم، وكيف صار العنف والقتلُ لغةً يتداولها كثيرٌ من أبناء الإسلام الذين سقطوا في شراك الرؤية السلفية للتوحيد وسجنت سلوكهم الفتاوى المشتقة من تلك الرؤية، فضاع في ضجيج تلك الرؤية صوتُ السلام والحق والعدل والإحسان والرحمة في القرآن الكريم، وكأن الإسلامَ لا يعرف أن يتحدّث لغةً أخرى غير العنف والقتل والموت، حرص الكاتبُ أن يدلّنا على الكنز المنسيّ للغة أخرى للإسلام يجهلها أكثرُ الشباب المسلم.
قرأتُ كتابَ الديري بشغف، وأمتعتني قراءتُه، ولا أشكّ في أن تعلمت منه مثلما تعلمتُ قبله من كتابات مماثلة، فالأثرُ الجميل الذي أطالعه أعيش معه أحياناً وكأني أتذوّق مائدةٌ شهيةً بعد جوع شديد وجدتُه يعيد قراءة نصوص الشيخ محيي الدين في سياق مختلف.
وكأننا معاً نفكر بطريقة متقاربة، فأنا أيضاً من ثلاثين عاماً ضقتُ بــ "تحجير" اللاهوت الصراطي للرحمة الإلهية، لذلك عملت على إعادة قراءة بعض نصوص التصوّف الفلسفي، وفي مقدمتها أعمال ابن عربي.
