أن ما يربطنى بتلك الرقعة الواقعة شمال شرق بلادى فى خريطة كتب "الجغرافيا" المدرسية ليس هو الجيرة الجغرافية، ولا هو التاريخ العريق المتصل الذى كان ذكر “مصر” و”الشام” فيه متلاصقاً كالتوائم السيامية، ولا هو راجع إلى نزعة دينية كونتها قصص الأنبياء الذين نشأ أكثرهم ودعا إلى الله وربما قتل فى سبيل ذلك على أرضه. إن ما يربطى بالشام هو تفاصيل دقيقة، صوت "فيروز" الناعم فى عذوبته القاسى فى غضبته، وقصاصات متناثرة من ديوان قديم مزقته الأيام بمكتبة جدى القديمة يحمل غلافه اسم "نزار قبانى"، وخطوات راقصة عنيفة ترج الأرض من تحتى فى "دبكة" بعلبكية أصيلة، ورائحة الصنوبر التى تخيلتها لسنوات قبل ان أشمها حقيقية، وطعم الشاورما والفلافل السورية المقلدة فى مصر. تلك التفاصيل الصغيرة وغيرها التصقت بذاكرتى كذرات الغبار على مر السنون، بل ربما هى نفسها عناصر أساسية أدت إلى تكوين شخصيتى نفسها فظل حلم زيارة تلك البلاد التى لا تبعد عن وطنى سوى بضعة مئات من الكيلومترات يداعبنى منذ الصغر، حتى تحقق أخيراً بصورة عجيبة، وقرار مفاجىء وليد اللحظة، مع شخصين يحملان نفس العيب الجينى: جنون السفر. تحتوى هذه المدونة على قصة تلك الرحلة الممتعة التى قمت بها مع اثنين من الرفاق، حاملين حقائبنا على ظهورنا، متنقلين من بلد إلى الأخرى باستخدام المواصلات العامة فقط لا غير، مخترقين حدود 3 دول ومارين بأكثر من 25 مدينة مختلفة ما بين إقامة وزيارة فى رحلة لم تتعد 12 يوم، لم يصحبنا فيها مرشد أو دليل سوى صوت جارة القمر، فيروز.
