في غورِ محيطٍ عميقٍ، في جنّةٍ مائيّةٍ تزيّنُها المخلوقاتُ البحريّةُ بألوانِها الجميلةِ الزّاهيةِ، عاشَتْ سمكةٌ جميلةٌ ليسَ لها مثيلٌ في عالمِ البحارِ والمحيطاتِ حياةً سعيدةً وآمنةً بعيداً عنْ خطرِ الإنسانِ.
وفي أحدِ الأيّامِ، قرّرَتِ السّمكةُ لؤلؤة الانطلاقَ في رحلةٍ استكشافيّةٍ، مُتجاهِلةً تحذيراتِ والدِها الّذي نصحَها بالبقاءِ في موطنِها الآمنِ، وغيرَ مُصدِّقةٍ ما تناهى إلى مسمعِها عنْ عالمِ الإنسانِ... وفيما كانَتْ لؤلؤة تتوغّلُ في عمقِ تلكَ البحارِ والمحيطاتِ صادفَتْ سلحفاةً عجوزاً نصحَتْها بالعودةِ إلى موطنِها، ولكنَّ لؤلؤة العنيدةَ لمْ تتراجعْ عنْ قرارِها، وصمّمَتْ على متابعةِ مغامرتِها حتّى النّهايةِ؛ فكلُّ الأسماكِ الّتي صادفَتْها في رحلتِها الطّويلةِ تبدو سعيدةً، ولا يبدو أنَّ هناكَ خطراً يلوحُ في الأفقِ...
تُرى، هلْ ستتراجعُ لؤلؤة عنْ قرارِها بعدَ سماعِها حكاياتِ السّلحفاةِ الحكيمةِ، أمْ ستمضي قُدُماً في مغامرتِها الخطيرةِ؟ وما الأحداثُ التي ستواجهُها خلالَ هذه الرّحلةِ؟
