إحدى قصص الطفولة التي عاشها الكاتب الفلسطيني الراحل جبرا إبراهيم جبرا في بيت لحم في ثلاثينيات القرن العشرين، والمأخوذة من كتاب سيرته "البئر الأولى". الطفل في هذه القصة تُعِدُّ له أمه "هيطلية" وتتركها لتبرد حتى يتناولها عند المساء مع العائلة بعد عودة والده من العمل. هذا الطبق الأبيض الشهي ورعونة الأطفال يغريان جبرا الطفل بأن يدعو أصحابه في الحي إلى المنزل ليثبت لهم صدق كلامه بأن يروا بأم أعينهم طبق الهيطلية اللذيذ، ليحدث عندها ما لم يكن في الحسبان.
