في عصرنا الذي بلغت فيه الفوضى العقائديّة والفكريّة والسلوكيّة إلى أقصى مآلاتها، لا أنجع لمن يريد تبينّ مكمن الحقيقة مِنَ التعرّف بعمق على المبادئ الروحية والعرفانية المؤطِّرة والموجّهة لصيرورة العالم في مراتب الوجود، ولتأريخ البشرية عبر الدّورات الزمنية للرسالات الإلهية إلى جميع الأمم بلا إستثناء، لقوله تعالى في الآية 24 من سورة فاطر: ﴿وَإِنْ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ إِلَّا خلَا فِيهَا نَذِيرٌ﴾، وفي الآية 7 من سورة الرّعد: ﴿إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُنذِرٌ وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَادٍ﴾، وقد كان الشيخ عبد الواحد يحيى نذيراً وهادياً بحق للغرب في هذا العصر، واقتفى أثره علماء غَرْبيْون تأثروا به واستفادوا منه كثيراً، في مقدّمتهم العلامة العارف الشيخ مصطفى عبد العزيز (ميشال فالسان: 1907- 1974) وتلاميذه.
وفي هذا الكتاب بيان لبعض أهمّ هذه المبادئ من خلال نصوص أساسية لأشهر مَن كتبوا في مجال العرفان السامي، أي: ابن العربي وعبد الكريم الجيلي وعبد الواحد يحيى، وقد قام مؤلّف هذا الكتاب عبد الباقي مفتاح خلال السنوات الأخيرة بترجمة العديد من كتبه من الفرنسية إلى العربية.
وكما أنّ الغرب في حاجة إلى ابن العربي لفهم الرّوحانيّة المحمّدية في أعمق وأسمى وأوسع أبعادها العالمية الشاملة الجامعة، فقد آن الأوان للشرق "المحمّديّ" أصالة، أن يتعرّف من خلال بحوث الشيخ عبد الواحد يحيى ونظرته الوَحْدويّة العالمية أيضاً، إلى هذه الروح المحمّدية المتجلية في تتابع النبوّات عبر تاريخ الخلافة الربّانية الإنسانية على الأرض، وهذا هو الموضوع الأساسي الذي نكتشفه في هذا الكتاب.
