Advanced Gulf Arabic is based on the dialect of Abu Dhabi,U.A.E., as modified by the dialects of Bahrain and Qatar. It fills a linguistic gap that presently exists in linguistic and language studies of the Arabian Peninusula. GAL is designed to meet the needs of Amercian college and university students. it serves larger groups, namely, American and European foreign service and defense language institutes, petroleum company employees, governement consultants, technical experts and others whose interests in the Gulf area are communicative, linguistic, political or social.
Its purposes is to serve those who are engaged in acquiring a conversational tool. It contains thirty units of unedited dialogs and narratives that help its users to express themselves with ease on general and specialized topics, such as family and children, marriage, holidays, social ills, goods and services, politics,ect.
