يشكّلُ هذا الكتابُ الجزء الأخير من سلسلة تعليم النَّحْوِ والصَّرْفِ، والتي تهدف إلى مدِّ جسوْرٍ بين طالب العربيَّةِ اليوم، وكتب العربية قديمها وحديثها، بُغية تسهيل تلقَّي قواعد النَّحو والصَّرفِ، وهي تتألَّفُ من مستويين، وتتوزَّعُ على ثلاثة أجزاء.
احتوى هذا الجزء على أهم مباحث النحو وقواعده، فكان وسطاً بين الكتب القديمة، والكتب المختصرة التي تعرض لأهم القواعد التي يهتم بها الطالب المدرسي اليوم، وقد احتوى كل درسٍ أمثلة مُعْربَةً في آخره، بغية تدريب الدَّارس على أساليب الإعراب، ومعرفةٍ تحديد الوظائف النحْويَّة للكلمات داخلَ الجمل، وكان عرضُهُ بعبارةٍ سهلة ميسيرة، بما يتناسب مع المبتدئ والمتقدِّم، وبذا يعتبر هذا الكتاب أداةً للتعلم الذاتي، كما يعتبر مرجعاً يعود إليه الباحث حين تندّ عن ذهنه قاعدة أو معلومة نحوية.
شمل الكتابُ أحد عشر درساً، وكلُّ درسٍ يبدأ بالأمثلة يليها الشرح ثم القاعدة، وبعد ذلك التطبيقات الموصلة للخلاصة.
اعتمد الكتاب في شرح مفاهيم النحو على الألوان بالدرجة الأولى، حيث تُميَّز الكلمات بألوانٍ دالة على وظائفها النحوية، بما يساعد على فهم كيفية تحديد هذه الوظائف، وكانت العنايُة فيه بالغة بإبراز العلاقة بين النحو المعنى.
ورافق ذلك كلُّهُ تسجيلٌ اشتمل على قراءة النص من جانبٍ، وعلى شرحٍ مركَّز غير مسهبٍ لجميع بحوثه من جانب آخر؛ هذا مع حل التطبيقات، ليكون ذلك عوناً للدارس على فهم القواعد والية تطبيقها على النصوص.
