إبراهيم زيدان: أديب لبناني، شقيق المؤرخ والأديب وعالم اللغويات الشهير جرجي زيدان، وُلد إبراهيم حبيب زيدان عام ١٨٧٩م ببيروت ونشأ بها، ثم لحق أخاه إلى القاهرة.
وقد نشر كتبًا مدرسية باسمه، ومن أشهر أعماله المستظرفات من النوادر؛ ﻛ «نوادر الكرام» و«نوادر العشاق» و«النوادر المطربة».
وتوفي إبراهيم زيدان بالقاهرة عام ١٩٥٦م.

ما أَجْمَلَ أَنْ تَختَلِطَ النَّادِرةُ والفُكاهَةُ بِالحِكْمةِ والأَنَاة، وما أَروَعَ أَنْ يَكُونَ لِرجالِ الحُكْمِ والسِّياسةِ دُعابَةٌ وابتِسامةٌ مِن حِينٍ لآخَر، نَتَعَرَّفُ عَبْرَها عَلى طِبَاعِهم، ونَسْتَشْهِدُ بِها عَلى الحَسَنِ مِن أَخلَاقِهم، ونَقِفُ من خِلَالِها عَلى الذَّمِيمِ مِنْها. والصَّفحاتُ الَّتي بَيْنَ أَيْدِينا كَتَبَها مُؤلِّفُها لِتَكُونَ مُرتَكَزًا لِلأَجْيالِ يَتَّكِئُونَ عَلَيْهِ وهُمْ يَخُوضُونَ غِمارَ الحَياة، وقَدْ وَضَعَها الكاتِبُ لِتَتَناسَبَ وطَبِيعةَ الناشِئِ البَسِيطة، بمَا لا يُخِلُّ بِما يَتلقَّاهُ مِن تَوجِيهاتٍ وَعِظَاتٍ تَهدُفُ إِلى الِارْتِقاءِ بالذَّوْقِ العَامِّ لَدَى النَّاشِئةِ مِن واقِعِ قصَصٍ تَارِيخيَّةٍ وَقَعَتْ بالفِعْل.
