إبراهيم زيدان: أديب لبناني، شقيق المؤرخ والأديب وعالم اللغويات الشهير جرجي زيدان، وُلد إبراهيم حبيب زيدان عام ١٨٧٩م ببيروت ونشأ بها، ثم لحق أخاه إلى القاهرة.
وقد نشر كتبًا مدرسية باسمه، ومن أشهر أعماله المستظرفات من النوادر؛ ﻛ «نوادر الكرام» و«نوادر العشاق» و«النوادر المطربة».
وتوفي إبراهيم زيدان بالقاهرة عام ١٩٥٦م.

ما العاشق إلا غصن مورق أزهر في خلاله الحب فأثمر حلو العفاف. فهو لا يرتاح إلا إلى طير يشكو نوى إلفه ولا يروق له في واسع الفلاة إلا تنسم ريح الصبا الحاملة شذا الحبيب. فلله ما أحلى الحب إذا توشى ببرد الصفاء وما أبهى سناه إذا استمد من لظى القلب الطاهر نوراً ساطعاً بهياً. فهو لعمري السلم المؤدية إلى العلياء التي لا يرتقيها إلا قوم أنزلت على قلوبهم آيات العفاف. بل الروح السارية في النسيم سرى الصفاء في الهوى العذري أو الإقدام في قلب الفارس الشجاع. وحسبه وصفاً أنه يطرق القلوب فيدمث الأخلاق ويغشي الفؤاد فيوحى إليه شمائل تغني عن الشمول.
وقد قسمت كتاب نوادر العشاق إلى ستة أقسام: القسم الأول: في نوادر الخلفاء, القسم الثاني: في نوادر بني عذرة, القسم الثالث: في نوادر بني عامر, القسم الرابع: في نوادر الشعراء, القسم الخامس: متفرقات من نوادر العشاق, القسم السادس: في مصارع العشاق.
