مجلد واحـد يقع في 425 صـفحة ، طُبع أربعة مـرات ، وهـو الكتاب الخامس من سلسلة (مالم ينشر من تراث الشهيد الصدر الثاني (قدس سره) ) ويتضمن الكتاب أفكاراً تعود الى كتاب (دور الأئمة في الحياة الإسلامية) وكتاب (نظرة في فلسفة الأحداث) وهما من نفس السلسلة.
تتلخص فكرة الكتاب في كونه يضم مراسلات في الفكر والأخلاق والعقيدة والاجتماع بين سماحة المرجع اليعقوبي (دام ظله) وأستاذه المرجع الشهيد السيد الصدر الثاني (قدس سره) خلال أيام الإقامة الجبرية التي فرضت عليه من قبل جلاوزة النظام الصدامي البائد في منتصف عقد الثمانينيات من القرن الماضي.
ويختص كتاب (قناديل العارفين) بنكهة خاصة واريج مميز يحلّق بالقارئ الى أجواء أرحب فهو إشراقات روحية طاهرة ونقية استثارتها أسئلة ومشاكل مرت بشاب متحمس نحو الكمال وإصلاح نفسه ومجتمعه ، وكيف لا وقد صدرت هذه النفحات القدسية من قلب الشهيد الصدر (قدس سره) وهو في قمة تأملاته وخلوته ونضجه الروحي.
