مجلد واحد يقع في 275 صفحة ، أعيد طبعه 5 مرات من إصدارات دار الصادقين للطبع والنشر عام 2002 . وهو كتاب فريد في بابه يشرح الأسس الرياضية لعدد كبير من المسائل الفقهية .
فسماحة المرجع (دام ظله) ممن أتيحت له الفرصة لتحصيل كلا العِلمين (الرياضيات والفقه) وهذا ما جعله قادراً بعون اللّـه تعالى وتوفيقه ان يفهم حاجة الطالب ويقدمها بالشكل الذي ينفعه.
وتبرز أهمية هذا الكتاب من حاجة الفقيه الى المسائل الرياضية في موارد متعددة في الكتب الفقهية منها وحدات القياس (الرطل ــ الصاع ــ المد) ووحدات المسافة (الميل ــ الفرسخ) وكذلك في مسائل الميراث وغير ذلك .
هذا وقد صدر الكتاب أول مرة بعنوان الرياضيات والفقه وقد ضمّه السيد الشهيد الصدر الثاني (قدس سره) الى موسوعته الموسومة (ما وراء الفقه) وقد ناقش بعض مطالبه في بحثه الخارج.
إن كتابات سماحة المرجع (دام ظله) في هذا المجال لم تقف عند حدود هذا الكتاب فحسب بل لا زال قلمه الشريف يدون الأبحاث العلمية ، منها ما نُشر مؤخراً في مجلة الاســـتنباط
(العدد 2) تحت عنوان (تفسير المغرب الشرعي في ضوء علم المثلثات) حيث قدم سماحته في هذا المقال تكييفاً رياضياً لحكم مشهور وهو تأخير صلاة المغرب بعد غروب قرص الشمس حتى تغيب الحمرة المشرقية وحاول حساب هذه الفترة الزمنية الفاصلة طبقاً لعلم المثلثات وبأسلوب سلس.
