ولد وفيق غريزي في بتاتر في جبل لبنان عام 1942 وهو شاعر وناقد وباحث. تلقى علومه الثانوية والجامعية في القاهرة ومارس التعليم في عدد من ثانويات الجبل.

لم يخرج الشاعر وفيق غريزي في عطائه الشعري عن خط المكرسين ولم ينهمك يوماً بما لا يليق بالمنذورين لشيء أكبر من حياتهم، وهو ما يبرز في كل ما كتبه شعراً ونثراً، فما يميز عطاءه الشعري والأدبي هو نفوره التلقائي من التقريرية والبطولية ذات الضجيج، من ذكورية الخطاب وتأكيد الذات الموروثة، فالإيمان بالوطن في شعره حاضراً، يدخل السمع والقلب حريراً متين النسيج لا ضعف فيه، وموقفه الشعري من الحياة هو أعلى وأرقى ما يمكن لشاعر مبدع أن يمتلك، وهذه "الأعمال الشعرية الكاملة" في جزئها الثالث عامرة بالخصوبة الهادئة ورهافة الإحساس، والكلمات الصافية العميقة، واعتراف الشاعر بهذا الواقع المفعم بالأسى، وخوفه على الأمة ومصيرها القلق. يقول الشاعر في قصيدته الموسومة بـ (ومضة الإنسان): "عند نهارات الكبار، يتلاشى فجر الطفولة، / يغيب وراء عيون المساءات المتثاقلة، / بين ثقوب صخب الغابة / الكارثة تعبر النبوءة كحكايات الليل الموحشة، / يسكننا الحزن / كأفراس نائمة على أحضان الشموس (...)".
وعليه، يضم الكتاب (الأعمال الشعرية الكاملة / الجزء الثالث) للشاعر وفيق غريزي وتتألف من المجموعات الآتية: 1- واحة نعاس لمراثي العيون، 2- إبحار العناصر في مدار امرأة، 3- قصائد إلى جسد يتوهج على خاصرة الرجولة المفتقدة، 4- سمر على موائد الحب والجسد، و 5- قصائد مبعثرة في ليل هارب.
