كان (حمد) منذ صغره يحب مشاهدة أولئك الذين يقومون بأداء الحركات الإستعراضيّة الخطرة المتهوّرة بالسيّارات والتي كانوا يطلقون عليها (الهجّولة)، وكان لحمد صديق طفولة اسمه (سعد)، وكان سعد يحب ذلك أيضاً، وكان يذهب مع حمد لمشاهدة أولئك الذين يقومون بأداء تلك الحركات المتهوّرة الخطرة بالسيارات، وتعلّم حمد قيادة السيّارة وهو صغير السنّ لا سيما حينما كان يذهب إلى البرّ برفقة أهله، واعتاد حمد وسعد قيادة سيّارة البلديّة الخاصّة بجمع النفايات كلّما غفل عنها عمّال البلديّة وانشغلوا بجمع النّفايات، وكانوا يقومون بالتجوّل بها في الحارة إلى أن يتمكن عمّال البلديّة من إستعادتها منهما ثانية.
