كنت تلميذ بيروت لعشرين عاماً وتعلمت خلالها الكثير الكثير، وعلمتني بيروت درساً في الحياة والحب والموت وتقاليد طائر الفينيق.. طائر العنقاء وتقاليد طائر الشوك.
علمتني بيروت كيف أنتصر للحب وأهزم الموت. علمتني كيف أنقض على الخطر فأهزمع. وكيف أتعامل مع الصعاب فأفتتها.
بيروت كانت بداية الحياة... وستبقى لتعلم الذين سيرون النور أن لا قيمة الإنسان دون حرية ودون الانتصار لها حيثنا حوصرت.
