لعلّة ما، لعلّها طوباويّته، اقترح فرج بيرقدار في العام 2003 على إتحاد الكتّاب العرب بدمشق نشر ديوانه أنقاض المكتوب في السجن.
ما إن قرع الشاعر بأنهم حتّى أتاه الجواب على شكل تقريرين، مثبتين في آخر هذا الكتاب، فحواهما أنّ القصائد، على جودة مستواها الأدبي، تسيئ إلى الروح القوميّة ولا تكتفي بالتلميح بل نصرّح بالمعاناة، وبأسماء السجون، وهي تاليّاً مدانة وممنوعة من النشر.
لسنوات، عاشت قصائد أنقاض - المدوّنة بين الأعوام 1993 و 2000 - تحت التراب في "ظلمة طاغية"؛ فمن ذا يبالي بآنّات "الذاهبين إلى الحلم بظنون عادلة"؟ من ذات يتحمس لنشر كلمات هي أشبه بوخز الضمير؟.
اليوم، بعد سنوات على كتابتها تصدر قصائد أنقاض طبق أصلها، عاربةً من أيّ تعديل يذكر، شاهدةً على حقبة لا نسيان ممكناً لسرقها في الإهانة والقتل.
