عبر صفحات هذا الكتاب يكتب الشاعر والصحفي السوري "فرج بيرقدار" تجربة عاشها في سجون المخابرات السورية بدأت في العام 1987 وانتهت بعد مرور أربعة عشر عاماً، وفي رحلة البحث عن الحرية بين جدران مقفلة كان لا بد من ملاذ للروح، فكانت الكتابة والشعر بالنسبة إليه طائر الحرية الأجمل ... بل هو التمرين الأقصى على الحرية، وبصيغة أخرى هو ما ليس قابلاً للأسر.
وعن كتابه هذا يقول "أيها السادة، ليس ما تسمعونه أو تقرؤونه الآن تقريراً صحفياً مُعداً للإستهلاك، وليس بيانات كاذبة تروّجها أجهزة مأمورة أو مشبوهة، بل هو ما تبقى من أنقاض روحي، وأنقاض مئات المعتقلين السياسيين الشرفاء.
إنه شهيقي وزفيري وما يترمّد من ذكريات الماضي وأحلام المستقبل ..." فكان شعر "بيرقدار" ليس كأي شعر، إنه شعر معتقل يصل من وراء القضبان يحكي تجربة خاصة عاشها الشاعر فأراد أن تصل إلى قرائه عبر صفحات كتاب.
يقول في إحدى نصوصه والتي جاءت تحت عنوان "بقية الكأس وسؤال أخير"
ما الذي يعنيه أن تكون وحيداً؟
ما الذي يعنيه أن تكون؟
يا أين أمي كم يبدو هذا السؤال غامضاً ونازفاً ومتعدداً !
إذن ... إلى أي إجابة يستميل؟
أنا أميل، بل أزداد ميلاً، إلى السؤال بذاته، ذلك أنه لا جواب له سواه.
"خيانات اللغة والصمت" كلمات حررت شاعرنا من جدران وأنفاق وجنازير مقفلة، فاستطاع الشعر إنقاذه وإعطاء حياته معنى وقيمة مختلفة باختلاف الظروف التي رافقته.
هذا، وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن الشاعر "بيرقدار" ليس عضواً في اتحاد الكتّاب العرب، ولا إتحاد الصحفيين في سوريا ...
