تعد مسألة الرجعة من المسائل الإعتقادية المهمّة التي وقع الخلاف فيها بين الفرق الإسلامية، وتحديداّ بين الشيعة والأمامية من جهة، ومن خالفهم من باقي فرق المسلمين من جهة أخرى، حيث قد شغلت حيزاً مهماً. من أوقاتهم وكلماتهم وتصانيفهم ومؤلفاتهم، ولا تزال، وذلك لأن المخالفين قد أنكروها أشّد الإنكار، ورتبوا الأثر على الاعتقاد بهذه العقيدة وعدمه إيجاباً وسلباً. وفي المقابل أخذ بها الشيعة الأمامية أشد الأخذ وأقرّوا بها بقوة بحيث صارت عندهم من أهم الاعتقادات التي التزموا بها تبعاً لما وصل إليهم من أئمة أهل البيت النبوي، بل انفردوا بها وامتازوا بالقول فيها عمّن سواهم من المسلمين. ولم يكن إقرارهم بهذه المسألة وأخذهم بها إلا أخذاً بكلام الله، والأمة المعصومين لذا عدها بعض علماء الأمامية من ضروريات المذهب. وتبرز أهمية هذا الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا أنه يحتوي على رسالة مختصرة في هذه المسألة (الرجعة) ضمنها المؤلف أهم ما يمكن أن يقال في هذه المسألة مبتعداً عن التفصيلات التي لا ترتبط مباشرة بها إلا ما كان يصح مقدّمة للمطلوب، مركزاً على إثبات هذه المسألة بالدليلين الفعلي والنقلي القطعيين، مع ذكر أهم ما يمكن أن يرد عليها من شبهات مما تعرض له العلماء وغيرهم في كتبهم ومصنفاتهم وردها، وذيلها بذكر بعض الأحداث التفصيلية التي تحدث في مدّة الرجعة تتميماً للفائدة.
