والكتاب بشكل عام جاء مقتسماً إلى خمسة أقسام عالجت الموضوعات التالية: تربية الطفل، صحة الطفل، أمراض الطفل (أسبابها والعلاج)، الوقاية من الحوادث عند الأطفال، الإسعافات الأولية للأطفال، ولتسهيل اضطلاع الأمهات على ما يعرض الكتاب تم صياغة موضوعاته بأسلوب مبسط مرفق بالصور الإيضاحية الملونة، كما وتم إفراد كل قسم من الأقسام، الخمسة بلون صفحات خاص، وذلك لتسهيل عملية القراءة على الأمهات والمربيات والعودة لأسلوب الكتاب نجد أنه قد اعتمد على أسلوب السؤال والجواب المختصر جداً والمفيد والذي يقدم كل المعلومات التي تحتاجها الأم أو المربية، وبذلك يبتعد على الشرح المسهب الممل والذي قد لا يفي بالغرض المطلوب.
