اغتصاب الذكور للإناث بالظاهرة الجديدة، فقد عرفته المجتمعات على اختلافها منذ عصور موغلة في القدم. ولكن الغالبية العظمى من جرائم الاغتصاب كانت تقع في فترات الحروب، حيث كان الجنود في الجيوش التي أحرزت النصر على أعدائها يبادرون إلى اغتصاب نساء المهزومين بلا رحمة أو شفقة. وفي غير ذلك من الحالات كانت جرائم الاغتصاب قليلة وكان العقاب عليها شديداً.
ولم يختلف الحال في مصر عنه في غيرها من الدول، فقد ظل ما يقع فيها من جرائم الاغتصاب قليلاً بدرجة ملحوظة، على الأقل بالنسبة لما يتم الإبلاغ عنه، حيث أن الاغتصاب والجرائم الجنسية عموماً تأتى على رأس قائمة الجرائم الخفية، وبالتالي لا يعرف حجمها الحقيقي، والذي لا يشك أحد في أنه يبلغ أضعاف الحجم المعروف.
وفي العقدين الأخيرين حدث تطور ملحوظ في أسلوب ارتكاب هذه الجريمة حيث لجأ الجناة إلى خطف الإناث من الطرقات واغتصابهن، الأمر الذي روع الناس وأثار غضبهم، وجعل المشرع يشدد عقوبة مرتكبي هذه الجرائم... فما هي العوامل التي تدفع البعض إلى ارتكاب هذه الجريمة؟ وما هو دور الإناث المجنى عليهن في وقوعها؟ بل ما هو دور المرأة عموماً في وقوع هذه الجريمة؟ وما هو السبيل إلى الحد من وقوعها؟ هذه الأسئلة وغيرها كثير يجيب عليها هذا الكتاب الذي حاول مؤلفه أن يسد به نقصاً ملحوظاً في الكتب التي تتناول هذه المشكلة في المكتبة العربية.
