كما أن دراسة مستوعبة كهذه تفرض على الباحث أن يسلط الأضواء الكاشفة على سائر كلماته ومواقفه عليه الصلاة والسلام، وعلاقاته بمواليه، وبأصحابه وبشيعته، وكيفية تعامله معهم، لا سيما ما يرتبط بتنظيم امورهم، ومعالجة مشاكلهم فيما بينهم، والتي ترتبط بالمهمات الموكلة إليهم...
نعم... ولا يجوز الإقتصار على دراسة بعض الأحداث البارزة، والمواقف المفصلية والكبيرة، التي صدرت عن الإمام، فإن ما نجده منها في مدة إمامته، مثلاً ربما لا يتجاوز عدد أصابع اليد الواحدة، ولا يمكن تلخيص حياته السياسية بها، مع ملاحظة أنها ربما يقال فيها: إنها كانت خاضعة لعوامل مرحلية، فرضت نفسها على الموقف وصاحبه وعلى سائر الأطراف المستهدفة فيه...
