التسلية هنا تعود إلى طبيعتها الأصلية الموروثة في أرسطوفان: ألا وهي تمكين المتفرج من كشف التناقضات الهازئة التي تسم حياته اليومية. مسرحية أسامة العارف هي كوميديا سياسية، الضحك فيها هجومي وفاضح ويمنح كل فرد القدرة المعنوية التي تخوله الحكم على نفسه. ليعش هذا الضحك.
