من منشورات المؤسسة العربية للدراسات والنشر، صدرت رواية «الهارب»، وهي الرواية الأخيرة للروائي العراقي الراحل محمود البياتي، ويترافق صدورها مع الذكرى السنوية الأولى لرحيل البياتي في العاصمة البريطانية. كتب مقدمة الرواية سعد ناجي، الذي قال فيها: «روايات محمود البياتي تجسد اغتراب الإنسان في منافي الحياة بأسلوب سردي ممتع يعبر عن بهجة الحياة وقلقها في آن واحد، تمتزج في رواياته الألوان والأزمان في نصوص شاعرية ورمزية تبحث عن إجابات فلسفية حول عبثية الحياة. هو القائل متسائلا: (أجهل لماذا يستنزف السَّلْمون قواه في السبّح عكسَ التيار. لا بدَّ لذلكَ من معنى) وكانت حياة محمود البياتي سباحة عكس التيار شكّلت لمحبيه أكثر من معنى، تحية لهذا الكاتب الجميل الذي رحل باكرا وترك لنا خزينًا من الإبداع». وسبق للأديب الراحل أن أصدر عن المؤسسة العربية للدراسات والنشر عدة كتب نذكر منها: «كلام الحب والوجود والثورة» (شعر)، «خليلو» (أدب)، «رقص على الماء» (رواية)، «في انتظار الغريب» (رواية). تقع الرواية في 216 صفحة من القطع المتوسط.
