لا شك أن صعود جماعة "الإخوان" إلى السلطة فى مصر فى أعقاب سقوط حسنى مبارك فى 11 فبراير 2011م بفعل ثورة 25 يناير بعد (18) يومًا من الاستمرار الجماهيرى فى ميادين مصر، كان - ولا يزال، وربما يظل - لغزًا محيرًا، والأكثر حيرة هو ذلك السقوط والانهيار المدويين لهذه الجماعة بكل رموزها. لذلك عبر اثنى عشر فصلاً، وعلى مدار (مائة وسبعين) مبحثًا، يقدم الدكتور جمال زهران رأيه فى حقيقة هذه الجماعة الإرهابية، وهى جماعة الإخوان المسلمين، مؤكدًا أنها خرجت من التاريخ نهائيًا، وما كان لها أن تخرج بهذه الصورة، إلا لأنها صعدت إلى السلطة عبر الصفقات، وفشلت فشلاً ذريعًا فى خدمة الشعب المصري، كما فشلت فى تقديم نموذج أخلاقى للحكم يؤكد رؤيتهم الدينية فى تقدم البلاد ونهضتها وتطورها، بل قدمت أسوأ النماذج؛ فكان القرار الشعبى بالانقضاض عليها وتقديم قياداتها للمحاكمات، وإخراج هذه الجماعة العميلة للخارج فكرةً وسلوكًا، من التاريخ بشكل أبدى.
