في العلاقة بين الإنسان والمكان.. في الجغرافيا البشرية لمدينة الاسكندرية هذا الكتاب، حيث يقدم المؤلف الدكتور ( فتحي ابو عيانة) دراسة ديمغرافية حول مدينة الاسكندرية منذ نشأتها وحتى عام 1966. مقسما هذه الفترة الزمنية إلى ما قبل عام 1797م وما بعدها. وقد جاء الكتاب في سبعة أبواب كان الاول في النمو السكاني للمدينة ثم الثاني في توزيعهم وكثافتهم. أما الثالث فكان في انماط التركيب السكاني سواء اقتصاديا او عمريا او اجتماعيا. اما الباب الرابع فيختص في خصوبة السكان والعوامل المؤثرة فيها.. ويستكمل الخامس بالجغرافيا الصحية من حيث الوفيات في المدينة واسبابها ، يأتي السادس في حجم الهجرة وانواعها واخيرا الباب السابع في التخطيط السكاني لمدينة الاسكندرية.
