إن الغرض من إصدار هذا الكتاب التراثي الحفاظ على فن قصصي نسائي كان واسع الانتشار عندما كان الشعب الفلسطيني يمارس ثقافته في وطنه وعلى كامل أرضه، وكذلك تقديم صورة علمية وموضوعية للثقافة العربية النابعة من أرض فلسطين ومن تراثها الإنساني الذي تضرب جذوره في عمق التاريخ.
رسم لوحات الكتاب ثلاث فنانات تشكيليات، وصممه وأعده فنياً وأشرف على إنتاجه الفنانة التشكيلية المعروفة منى السعودي.
