إضافة إلى ما تقدم ما يعيشه العالم من ثورة علمية في المعلومات والإتصالات والمواصلات والتكنولوجية العليا والتي يمكن أن نطلق عليها الثورة الصناعية الثالثة التي أكسبت هذه الشركات قوة إضافية وقدرة على الإنفاق على البحث العملي الأمر الذي خلق تحدي أمام البلدان النامية في ضرورة تنمية قدرتها على إبتكار آليات للتعامل مع هذه الشركات.
وبناءاً على ما تقدم فقد تناول هذا الكتاب مسؤولية التعريف بهذه الشركات وكيفية ظهورها وطرق تكوينها ومراحل تطورها وما يميزها عن الشركات الأخرى من حيث النشأة والنظام القانوني.
