كتاب "دُرَر الفَرائد المُسْتَحْسَنة في شرح منظومة ابن الشِّحْن" لابن عبد الحقِّ العُمَريِّ الطَّرَابُلْسِيِّ (ت بعد 1024هـ) من أنفس الشُّروح، وأوسعُها مادّةً بلاغيّةً، وأجوَدُها عَرْضاً للمسائل، وأغزرُها أمثلةً، ومِن أقرب شروح المنظومةِ مأخذاً؛ فضلاً عن كثرة مصادِره.
ولأهمية هذا الكتاب اعتنى بدراسته الدكتور سليمان العُميرات، وجعل موضوع بحثه هذا في قسمين؛ خصص أوَّلَهما للدِّراسة، وأفرد الثّانيَ للنَّصِ المُحقَّق.
أما الدّراسةُ فكانت في فصلين: الفصل الأول: (النّاظم والمنظوم) تناول فيه النّاظمَ ابنَ الشِّحْنَة، فأظهر ملامحَ شخصيَّتِه العِلميّة؛ ومصنَّفاتِه، وتكلّم على منظومة ابن الشِّحْنةِ (عَرْضاً ونقداً)؛ فعرض لأبوابها ومضمونها، مُبْرِزاً مكانةَ هذه المنظومة من تاريخ التّأليف البلاغيّ العربيّ.
أما الفصل الثّاني: (الشّارح والمشروح) عقده لدراسة كتاب "دُرَر الفرائد المستحسَنة في شرح منظومة ابن الشِّحْنة"، فترجم لصاحبِه ابن عبد الحقّ العُمريّ، ثم درس منهجَه في شرح كلام النّاظمِ، وطريقته في عَرْضِ المادّةِ وترتيبِها.
