Book Description
هنري فالنتاين ميلر (1891- 1980)، روائي ورسام أمريكي، نشأ في نيويورك، وعاش شبابه في باريس، منها سنوات برفقة صديقته الروائية أنايس نيَن بشكل بوهيمي حتى إندلاع الحرب العالمية الثانية، حيث تُعتبر سنوات إقامته في باريس الأخصب بالنسبة لإبداعاته الأدبية؛ عاد بعدها إلى الولايات المتحدة، وعاش ما تبقى من حياته فيها.
عُرف عنه كسر القوالب الأدبية التقليدية، وطوّر نوعاً جديداً من الرواية دمج فيه السيرة الذاتية والنقد الإجتماعي، الذي تنعكس فيه الفلسفة والعلاقات السريالية الحرة مع الروحانيات التي تعبّر عن الحياة الحقيقية؛ من أشهر أعماله؛ ثلاثية الصلب الوردي، مدار السرطان، مدار الجدي، ربيع أسود.
ربما كانت "الصلب الوردي" هي رائعة هنري ميلر، إنها سرد موسع حول جهود ميلر لكي يصبح كاتباً وحول صراعاته، المالية والروحية؛ وفي الوقت نفسه تعيد إبداع نبرة ونسيج بيئة ميلر، وتبعث إلى الحياة أصدقاءه الحميمين.
إن الكتاب المكتوب بنثرٍ أمريكي مسترخٍ وطبيعي هو مسلٍ أحياناً على نحو صاخب، وخاصة حين يسخر ميلر من نفسه؛ وعلى غرار فرانك هاريس في كتابه "حياتي وعلاقتي الغرامية"، تحاول الوشيجة "نكسوس" أن تروي كل شيء، وسيتأكد البعض من أن ميلر يقول الكثير بشكل كامل؛ مهما كانت زلات ميلر في الذوق، فإنه دوماً إلى جانب الحياة والإبداع، تفرحه الحقيقة البسيطة بأنه حي ويجرّب.
