انطلاقاً من هنا عني المؤلف بتضمين كتابه هذا الذي نقلب صفحاته باحثاً وإنما يدور حول رياضة السباحة وكيفية الإعداد لها قبل الاشتراك في أية مباراة، متطرقاً إلى مختلف أنواع السباحة وكيفية مزاولتها مثل سباحة الكرول، والصدر، والفراشة... هذا ولم يغفل المؤلف ذكر العديد من النصائح والإرشادات التي تساعد السباحين على تحقيق نتائج جيدة في مباراتهم، هذا وقد الحق المؤلف كتابه بسرد مفصل يدون فيه بعض الأرقام القياسية وأسماء محرزيها في السباحة، وأنواع المسابقات المتعارف عليها عالمياً في السباحة.
