يدخل كتاب "مدرسة فرانكفورت النقدية" بوصفه المجلّد الثاني من سلسلة الكتب الجماعية التي تصدرها "الرابطة العربية الأكاديمية للفلسفة" بعد مجلد "الفلسفة السياسية المعاصرة".
وفي هذا الكتاب يتحرّك البحث الفلسفي في حركة نسقية متابعة لكل أبعاد وشخصيات وموضوعات مدرسة فرانكفورت، تغطية تاريخية وفلسفية ونصية شاملة، حيث تحققت خطة الكتاب وفق أربعة أبواب رئيسية: أولها القسم التاريخي الذي نعرض فيه إلى أجيال المدرسة الثلاثة، وفي الباب الثاني: خصص لمقاربات نقدية تلتحم في أفقها مع هموم المدرسة، وجاء الباب الثالث: ليشتغل على بحث ميكانيزمات ومحركات الخطاب النقدي للمدرسة من الروافد والمرجعيات الفلسفية والتاريخي، التي نهلت منها المدرسة أسسها وأطرها النظرية، وكيف انعكست بدورها على الفلسفات الأخرى، أما الباب الرابع والأخير فهو مخصص لتقديم أهم النصوص الحاملة لفكر المدرسة (مترجمة).
وتمثل مدرسة نهضة متوثبة للفكر، ومرصداً للتحذير من تجاوزات السلطة أو تمجيد الفكر لها، وعيادة حضارية تقدم التشخصيات اللازمة لمجتمعات غارقة في متاهات مرضية من تضخم الرأسمال، وجماهير منسية في الإستهلاك المتسرّع للسلع، كشف دؤوب عن مسارات مبتكرة للحرية والتحرر، لعّل التحرر يكون في تخفيض آلة القمع "الجنسي"، وكشف جماليات جنسية أقل أوديبية من تلك التي صنعت الحضارة الغربية، أو لعلّ التحرر يكون بالقدرة الخارقة للفن على كشف مسارات الممكن من صلب مستحيلات الواقع، أو ربما التحرر يكون في الكشف عن ممكنات إنسانية تواصلية، عن نزعة إنسانية تعانق الكوني، الصامت والعابر للحضارات والإثنيات، الكوني الذي هو أسلوب حرّ في الإنتماء المسالم والوديع للطبيعة والبيئة، كما سيحاول الجيل الأخير من المدرسة المرافعة لأجله.
