ان النظام الملكى الذى متبعا فى مصر لولاية العرش بعد تولى محمد على باشا الكبير كرسى الحكم لمصر مر بثلاثة مراحل وقد بدا محمد على باشا بالمرحلة الاولى التى كانت تولى اكبر الابناء فى العائلة كلها ثم غير اسماعيل باشا هذا النظام فى المرحلة الثانية وجعل الخلافة لابنه الاكبر ثم ابن ابنه الاكبر وهكذا وذلك بالتعاون مع الدولة العثمانية وجاءت المرحلة الثالثة فى التعبير على يد الانجليز الذين احتلوا مصر اذا اخذوا يغيرون الملك كما تدعو مصالحهم هم فقط ثم عاد فى عهدهم الى النظام الثانى الى الابن الاكبر فالابن الاكبر وهكذا وفى هذا الكتاب تعرض المؤلف لتفاصيل حيل ومؤامرات الجهات المختلفة ليتصيب الملوك على مصر والصراع التى كانت تحدث فى سبيل ذلم والتى كانت تصل الى حد القتل .
