تابعت غرفة العمليات المشتركة التي عقدتها مؤسسة حرية الفكر والتعبير ومرصد صحفيين ضد التعذيب إحياء الذكرى الثالثة لثورة 25 يناير ، وتمكّنت غرفة العمليات من رصد 36 حالة انتهاك وقعت على الصحفيين والمصورين والإعلاميين أثناء أدائهم لمهامهم الصحفية وأثناء التغطية الإعلامية، ويذكر أن هذه الحالات على سبيل المثال وليس الحصر.
لذا تستنكر مؤسسة حرية الفكر والتعبير ومرصد صحفيين ضد التعذي تابعت غرفة العمليات المشتركة التي عقدتها مؤسسة حرية الفكر والتعبير ومرصد صحفيين ضد التعذيب إحياء الذكرى الثالثة لثورة 25 يناير ، وتمكّنت غرفة العمليات من رصد 36 حالة انتهاك وقعت على الصحفيين والمصورين والإعلاميين أثناء أدائهم لمهامهم الصحفية وأثناء التغطية الإعلامية، ويذكر أن هذه الحالات على سبيل المثال وليس الحصر.
لذا تستنكر مؤسسة حرية الفكر والتعبير ومرصد صحفيين ضد التعذيب الانتهاكات السافرة التي تم رصدها، والتي تنوعت ما بين المنع والاعتقال أو الاعتداء على شخص الصحفي وتكسير معداته والاستيلاء عليها، والذي ترتب عليه منع وسائل الإعلام من ممارسة حقها في تغطية الأحداث.
كما تؤكد المؤسسة والمرصد على أن الانتهاكات التي مورست ضد الصحفيين والإعلاميين أمس، كانت ممنهجة، وتستهدف الحيلولة بين الجمهور وبين حقيقة أحداث العنف والانتهاكات البالغة للحقوق والحريات التي مارستها قوات الشرطة ضد المتظاهرين، فضلًا عن أن استهداف الصحفيين يؤكد على عدم احترام قوات الشرطة للقانون الذي يعتبر الصحفي أثناء تأدية عمله بمثابة موظف عام، يتمتع بالحماية القانونية للموظفين العموميين أثناء تأدية عملهم. أيضًا فإن استهداف الصحفيين بدلًا من توفير الحماية لهم يؤكد على عدم التزام السلطات المصرية بالحماية التي يكفلها القانون الدولي لحرية الصحافة، باعتبارها جزء لا يتجزأ من حرية التعبير، التي يعتبر انتهاكها من قبل السلطات كاشفًا لزيف الادعاءات حول أن المرحلة الحالية تستهدف الانتقال لدولة الديمقراطية والقانون واحترام حقوق الإنسان.
