تحاول هذه القراءة تقديم تحليل للأرقام التى وردت فى رصد الإنتهاكات التى وقعت خلال عام 2012، وهى قراءة تحاول فهم السياق الذى وقعت فيه تلك الإنتهاكات وأسبابها المباشرة من أجل الوقوف على المناخ الذى تعمل تواجهه حرية الصحافة والإعلام والنشر فى مصر بعد قيام ثورة 25 يناير 2011. لقد كانت ومازالت "الحرية" من مطالب تلك الثورة، الحرية بمعناها الأوسع والذى يأتى ضمنه حرية الرأى والتعبي تحاول هذه القراءة تقديم تحليل للأرقام التى وردت فى رصد الإنتهاكات التى وقعت خلال عام 2012، وهى قراءة تحاول فهم السياق الذى وقعت فيه تلك الإنتهاكات وأسبابها المباشرة من أجل الوقوف على المناخ الذى تعمل تواجهه حرية الصحافة والإعلام والنشر فى مصر بعد قيام ثورة 25 يناير 2011. لقد كانت ومازالت "الحرية" من مطالب تلك الثورة، الحرية بمعناها الأوسع والذى يأتى ضمنه حرية الرأى والتعبير والنشر وتداول المعلومات. وبعد مرور عامين من قيام الثورة لازالت المطالب الرئيسية لها قائمة، ومن ضمنها "الحرية". ومع أن أرقام الإنتهاكات التى تقع بحق الإعلاميين على مدى عامين من قيام الثورة يتزايد فيها العنف ضدهم بكافة أشكاله إلى مستوى القتل. غير أن هذا لم يمنعهم من القيام بأداء عملهم فى نقل ما يحدث ومواجهة تلك المخاطر والتهديدات فى سبيل أن تصل الحقائق للجمهور وكذلك فى سبيل المزيد من الحرية.
