كان يوم الاثنين الموافق 18 أكتوبر ، يوما حافلا في الجامعات المصرية ، حيث نظمت جامعة عين شمس ، حفلا غنائيا للمطرب \”حكيم\” أمام قصر الزعفران ، في حين نظمت جامعة القاهرة حفل DJ ، أمام مبنى القبة ، إلى جانب إقامة معرض لمنتجات الأسر الجامعية ، التي تمارس عملها تحت إشراف رعاية الشباب بالكليات ، مع الأخذ في الاعتبار أن هذا اليوم هو ذات اليوم المقرر للاقتراع، بصناديق الانتخاب، في كان يوم الاثنين الموافق 18 أكتوبر ، يوما حافلا في الجامعات المصرية ، حيث نظمت جامعة عين شمس ، حفلا غنائيا للمطرب \”حكيم\” أمام قصر الزعفران ، في حين نظمت جامعة القاهرة حفل DJ ، أمام مبنى القبة ، إلى جانب إقامة معرض لمنتجات الأسر الجامعية ، التي تمارس عملها تحت إشراف رعاية الشباب بالكليات ، مع الأخذ في الاعتبار أن هذا اليوم هو ذات اليوم المقرر للاقتراع، بصناديق الانتخاب، في انتخابات اتحاد الطلاب، التي حسمت بالتزكية ، بأغلبية الجامعات المصرية .
وقد فوجئ الطلاب يوم الثلاثاء الموافق 5أكتوبر، بفتح باب الترشيح، لانتخابات اتحادات الطلاب، دون أي إعلان مسبق، بعد أن كان من المقرر فتحه يوم الخميس، الموافق7 أكتوبر . وقد أعرب الطلاب عن وجود عدد من العراقيل، التي تعوقهم دون تقديم أوراق ترشيحهم ، وتمثلت تلك العراقيل، في عدة مطالب من إدارة الجامعات، مثل المطالبة، باستمارة 6جند، للحصول على إذن دفع المصروفات، بعد أن كانت تطلب من الطلاب، مع نهاية العام الدراسي، عند إجراء الامتحانات، واستمارة إثبات نشاط، ضمن أوراق الترشيح .هذا إلى جانب بعض الممارسات ، مثل تغيير مكان سحب الاستمارات، ورفض بعض الموظفين المسئولين، استلام أوراق الترشيح من الطلاب، كما قامت إدارات بعض الكليات، بإغلاق خزائن دفع المصروفات، وذلك لمنع الطلاب من تسديد المصروفات، مما يعوقهم عن التقديم للترشيح.
