في هذا الكتاب دراسة مقارنة لأحكام التحكيم التجاري الدولي كما جاءت في القواعد والاتفاقيات الدولية والإقليمية والعربية مع إشارة إلى أحكام التحكيم في التشريعات العربية، في البداية عرفت الدراسة بأهمية التحكيم من خلال الاتفاقيات الدولية والإقليمية العربية والأجنبية التي عقدت في هذا المجال، ثم درست أحكام التحكيم منذ اتفاق الطرفين المتعاقدين على اتباعه لحسام خلافاتهم، لحين إصدار القرار التحكيمي وتنفيذه أو الطعن فيه، ولم تقتصر على أحكام التحكيم التجاري الدولي، بل شملت التحكيم بوجه عام، وذلك لأن التحكيم الدولي قد يخضع لأحكام القانون المحلي سواء أكان ذلك بالنسبة للإجراءات أو بالنسبة للقانون الذي يطبق على موضوع النزاع. كما أن تنفيذ القرار التحكيمي يخضع في الغالب للقواعد الإجرائية لقانون البلد المراد تنفيذ القرار فيه.
