هدف هذا الكتاب إلى بيان مدى مواكبة قانون التحكيم الأردني لسنة (2001) لإتجاهات قوانين التحكيم الحديثة في العالم ومدى إقتفائه أثر قانون التحكيم النموذجي الصادر عن لجنة (UNICTRAL) التابعة للأمم المتحدة، ومظاهر دور القاضي الأردني في التحكيم التجاري الدولي، وهل يقتصر دور القاضي الأردني في هذا الصدد على المراقبة وإعطاء الصيغة التنفيذية لهذا القرار، والنظر في الطعن الصادر من أحد طرفي التحكيم أم يتعداه إلى مظاهر أكثر إيجابية في مرحلة الإجراءات وتكريس أوجه التعاون بين القضاء الوطني والتحكيم التجاري الدولي.
هذا وقد تناول الباحث في هذا الكتاب أيضاً معيار دولية التحكيم والتنظيم التشريعي للتحكيم، وفي الباب الأول دور المحكمة في إجراءات التحكيم التجاري الدولي، وفي الباب الثاني الطعن وتنفيذ حكم المحكمين.
