دروس علم الإجرام هذه عبارة عن محاضرات ألقيت على طلبة كلية الحقوق بجامعة عمان الأهلية بدءاً من العام 1999، حينما توليت تدريس هذه المادة. وقد رأيت أن أقرن هذه الدروس النظرية بالعديد من الإحصائيات الجرمية التي صدرت عن مديرية الأمن العام الأردنية بخصوص واقع الجرائم في الأردن لعدة سنوات. وفي هذا الصدد فإنني أسجل شكري وتقديري لإدارة المعلومات الجنائية على تزويدي بالكثير من أعداد التقرير الإحصائي الجنائي الذي تصدره بشأن الواقع الجرمي في المملكة. وقد صدرت الطبعة الأولى في العام 2002 والثانية في عام 2006، وقد تم تحكيم الكتاب وفق الأصول المتبعة. وهذه هي الطبعة الثالثة لسنة 2011، وقد أدخلت على هذه الطبعة الجديدة الكثير من التعديلات بحيث ظهرت هذه الدروس في وضعها الحالي، كما أضيف إلى هذه الطبعة أيضاً مادة علم العقاب.
