منحت جائزة الرواية في مسابقة الكاتب الشاب للعام 2003 التي نظمتها مؤسسة عبد المحسن القطان ضمن برنامجها للثقافة والعلوم، إلى عدنية شبلي عن روايتها كلنا بعيد بذات المقدار عن الحب.
"تقدم الرواية تشريحاً بالغ الحساسية لعاطفة معقدة ووجود مركب هو الحب/الكره/انتقاء الحب أو انقضاؤه، وسبراً دقيقاً لجوانب مرهفة من هذا الوجود سلباً وإيجاباً من تواشج العالم الداخلي الجواني، بعالم الظواهر الخارجية على لسان مؤلفة قادرة على تجاوز الطابوهات المألوفة بفنية عالية وجرأة لا تساوم.
"كذلك تعتمد الرواية بشكل يكاد يكون مطلقاً على الفعل والتصرفات في بناء الشخصيات، حيث تستطيع بواسطة الأفعال "البسيطة" والعفوية والمشاعر المركبة إلى حد الإحراج، أن ترسم بحساسية شديدة خارطة داخلية للشخصيات، تضاف تفاصيل نمنماتها بعضها إلى بعض بتأن وسيطرة ذاتية نادرة وتحكم كبير بدقائقها وظلالها وألوانها، وبجرأة غير مهادنة على التعامل مع أكثر المشاعر الإنسانية هشاشة وإحراجاً في أشد المناطق حلكة في النفس البشرية.
