تنهض عتبة العنوان في ديوان الشاعر طارق العتيبي "آت أفروديت" من الأساطير اليونانية القديمة، أسطورة آلهة الجمال والفتنة أفروديت ليصوغ منها العتيبي عالمه الشعري الجميل.
في قصيدة تحت عنوان (لأني أحبك) يقول الشاعر: " لأني أحبك/ تحولت كل النساء اللواتي عبرن عليّ/ وعلقن قلبي على رأس سيف من الأمنيات/ إلى عابرات بلا ذاكرة/ لأني أحبك/ أحب النساء كثيراً/ وأحذرهن كثيراً/ لأني أحبك/ تعلمت ألا أشتهي المرأة عابرة/ تعلمت ألا أموت على عتبات السلام/ وما كنت أدري بأني أحبك ..."
وهكذا تدور قصائد الديوان في دوائر الميثولوجيا ما بين أساطير الحب والموت والحياة، هي تعبير عن رؤيا شاعر لا يجد سوى الكلمات يلجأ إليها، وكأنه يعيش في متاهة لا يعرف كيف ينجو منها إلا بالشعر. فها هو ينادي أفروديت ليقول لها أنه آتٍ " آتٍ أنا .. آت/ من خلف أسوار المقابر/ والبيوت/ من خلف أسوار الخرافة/ والشياطين التي تناوبت على قمة الجبل/ لتكشف الوادي .. وادي المعجزات/ من خلف الأساطير/ آتٍ أفروديت ...".
يضم الديوان ما يزيد عن الثلاثون قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث نذكر من عناوينها: "ميثولوجيا وطنية" ، "أنت أنت" ، "حب أزرق" ، "الوهم بالحياة" ، أنباء السماء" ، "الوعد بالموت" ... الخ.
