يناقش هذا الكتاب ، التغير التأريخي للعقل الإنساني عبر تحوله من ( الصنمية ) الى ( الوثنية ) رغم ما جاء به الرسل والانبياء من الرسالات المقدسة الشريفة ، لصعوبة تخليص هؤلاء من العقلية الوثنية بآلية العبادة المطلوبة منهم .
إضافة لمناقشة عدد من الموضوعات المرتبطة بذلك مثل ( التجريد الوثني ) و ( صراع الافكار ) و ( سذاجة الإلحاد ) و ( الحيوية والقلق الوجودي ) و حتى ( الرمزية الجنسية ) بالوثنية إضافة لعدد من الُعقد المتأصلة كـ ( عقدة التلمذة ) و ( عقدة المجهول ) ، مع معايشة شبه مقدسة لبعض المفاهيم مثل ( الرمزية المعيارية ) و ما ترتب عنها بما يستحق أن يسمى بـ ( الحبل العلني ) للانسان البالغ ..
