هذا الكتاب الرابع من سلسلة "من أجل الحقيقة" هو شهادات ثمينة قدمها نخبة من ألمع مفكري الغرب، وهم ينتمون من بلدان مختلفة، ومذاهب شتى، ويتناولون المسيحية من منطلقات علمية متنوعة، لكنهم جميعاً يخلصون إلى نتيجة واحدة: "أن المسيحية التي يؤمن بها مسيحيو اليوم ديانة مختلفة عما جاء به السيد المسيح عليه السلام".
ويكشف هؤلاء المفكرين في هذا الكتاب بأن أركان المسيحية الجديدة وعقائدها وصلواتها وشعائرها تأثرت أو تحدرت من الديانات الوثنية التي كانت سائدة قبل ظهور المسيح عليه السلام أو في أيامه. وقد نقلها المؤمنون الجدد من دياناتهم الوثنية وأقرتهم عليها الكنيسة ثم تبنتها وجعلتها رموزاً تأويلية ملفقة ترضيهم وتلبس غيرهم.
هؤلاء المفكرين ولدوا من أسرة مسيحية، ونشأوا في مجتمع مسيحي. وبعض استشهاداتهم المنقولة من العهد الجديد ووسائل من يوصف بالرسل أو من نصوص آباء الكنيسة واللاهوتيين، وبعض الإشارات الشائعة في الأعراف والتقاليد والشعائر (الطقوس) المسيحية تتحدث "نبوة" المسيح عليه السلام أو عن صلبه أو موته أو بعثه من القبر، وحتى عن إرساله إلى جهنم، كما يتحدث بعضها عن أبوة (الله) (سبحانه عما يصفون) أو عن مشاركته، أو غير ذلك مما يمجه العقل وينكره الذوق ويتنافى مع ما جاء به المسيح عليه الصلاة والسلام.
والواقع أن كل هذه الشواهد إنما تخدم هدفاً واحداً سعوا إليه جميعاً، وهو إتيان تلك العقائد والأركان والشعائر، بدءاً من "نبوة" المسيح وصلبه وموته هي محض افتراءات أملتها على المسيح أصول وثنية تأثر بها المؤمنون الأولون من المسيحيين.
