روائي وصحفي وسياسي بيروفي/ إسباني.
حصل على جائزة نوبل في الأدب عام 2010.
برز في عالم الأدب بعد نشر روايته الأولى "المدينة والكلاب" التي نال عليها جوائز عديدة منها جائزة "ببليوتيكا بريفي" عام 1963 م وجائزة "النقد" عام 1998 م.
وقد ترجمت إلى أكثر من عشرين لغة أجنبية.
وتتالت أعماله الروائية، وتعددت الجوائز التي حصل عليها، وقد كان من أشهرها حصوله على جائزة ثيرفانتس للآداب عام 1994 م، والتي تعد أهم جائزة للآداب الناطقة بالإسبانية.
Book Description
تستحضر "قصة مايتا" إلى الذهن عالماً مأخوذاً على محمل حقيقي في بعديه التاريخي والإنساني، يقدمه "ماريو بارغاس يوسا" من منظور الراوي والمشارك، حيث يتحتم على القارئ النظر إلى العلاقة بين القصة وراويها، في كل مستوى من المستويات.
الرواية تستند إلى التاريخ، وكما يقول الروائي بأنه "مسمم بالواقع، ومتيم بالتاريخ"، سوف يسافر يوسا إلى بلده البيرو من باريس حيث كان يقيم، بحثاً عن توثيق وإعادة كتابة "تاريخ" الحدث والشخصية الرئيسية التي تتناولها الرواية.
وبقراءة الأحداث في الرواية، نجد أن الروائي يتحدث عن شخصية نضالية في تاريخ البيرو، قام بدمجها مع شخصيات أخرى منها شخصية هو كراوي / مشارك، وشخصية تشي غيفارا، وشخصية نضالية بيروئية ثالثة شاركت في أول تمرد عسكري في البلاد.
لذلك، يسعى يوسا خلف شخصية الراوية الرئيسية "الخاندرو مايتا" إلى جانب الشخصيات الأخرى؛ الملازم "بابيخوس" الذي سيقود البلاد في عام (1958م) إلى تمرد عسكري في جبال منطقة "خاوخا"، لإظهار الحركية التاريخية المستمرة التي لا تقف عند حدود، حيث يمثل السعي إلى إسقاط النظام الديكتاتوري القديم، وإقامة نظام إشتراكي جديد يقوم على العدالة الإجتماعية وتحرير الشعب الغاية الرئيسية للشخصيات الروائية.
وعلى الرغم من أن هذا التمرد لم يستمر أكثر من ساعات، وهو الأول في البيرو، إلا أنه سيكون مؤشر مهم ومقدمة لعدد من التحركات اللاحقة التي ستحدث بتأثير الثورة الكوبية (1959م، وستنتهي بالبيرو إلى أبشع حرب داخلية (1982- 2000م)، حيث أصبح معها البلاد عرضة لتدخلات خارجية شأنها شأن كل حروب العالم.
